 Dr. Bruce McCarl, Agricultural Economist at Texas A & M University, is a member of the IPCC, the International Panel on Climate Change, established in 1988 by the U.N. and World Metereological Organization. The IPCC works to  “review and assess the most recent scientific, technical and socio-economic information produced worldwide relevant to the understanding of climate change.”

The Urban Water Team at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center is saving Texas water, one rain barrel at time. 

Karenna Gore will be speaking at Earth Day Texas on Friday, April 24, at 5 pm. Her presentation is titled: 'Integrity and Earth: Honoring Our Roots While Enhancing Progress.'

Karenna Gore is director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and the eldest daughter of former Vice President Al Gore, a longtime environmental activist. The 84th Texas Legislature began hearings March 23 on the first of a flood of bills, of which 60 percent related to the environment were listed as adverse to public health, safety and natural resources by environmental citizens action group Alliance for a Clean Texas.
