Currently, we partner with five different community businesses, organizations, and churches to manage community garden and urban farming spaces that are accessible to the refugee community of Dallas. Through our MicroProducer Academy, growers can receive additional training to make supplemental income by selling their produce at the New Roots’ Farm Stand back in refugee and immigrant rich neighborhoods. New Roots also runs a Youth Food Justice Internship which uses food and agriculture as a platform for high school students to gain job readiness skills.
