Lynne Weinberger began her eco-friendly artist quest back in the 1960s. True, the McKinney native was just in elementary school at the time, but using her artist skills with fabric felt right.

This week, Green Source DFW kicks off the fun with a get-together on Thursday for the green set. On Saturday, you can visit a real butterfly farm or sink your teeth into a course on edible wild plants at the Bob Jones Nature Center. You can also help some local big cats by picking up some treats at a fundraising bake sale.
