In May, when the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced that the level of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere had surpassed 400 parts per million, Karen Weiss of Dallas took it as a wake-up call.

This week, Green Source DFW kicks off the fun with a get-together on Thursday for the green set. On Saturday, you can visit a real butterfly farm or sink your teeth into a course on edible wild plants at the Bob Jones Nature Center. You can also help some local big cats by picking up some treats at a fundraising bake sale.
