Annual fundraiser to feature live music, local produce and dinner under the stars

The Connemara Meadow Preserve will once again be filled
with food, fun and friends when the Connemara Conservancy Foundation hosts its
second annual Into The Meadow celebration on Oct. 1.

Tickets, which are $150 per person, are available at connemaraconservancy.org or
by calling (214) 351-0990. The event begins at 5 p.m. and benefits the Connemara
Conservancy, which currently protects more than 3,400 acres of land throughout North
Texas.

In just one year, Into The Meadow has become Connemara’s signature fundraising
event, celebrating locally produced food and the conservancy’s mission of preserving
and protecting open space throughout North Texas.

Once again the event will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Pecan Grove, live
music, a local vendor market place, an auction and the signature white tablecloth dinner
held under the stars in the Meadow Preserve and catered by Pecan Lodge Catering.

“From the cocktail reception in the Pecan Grove to the dramatic sunset to the fireflies
floating throughout the Meadow during dinner, last year’s Into The Meadow was magical
evening,” said Connemara Executive Director Sandra Greenway. “Before it was over,
we had people asking us to do it again. Based on the early response, we’ve had to
expand this year’s event since last year’s was a sell-out.”

Sponsorship information is available at connemaraconservancy.org.

About The Meadow Preserve

The Meadow Preserve was a gift of Connemara founder Frances Williams in 1981.
It was set aside to preserve Texas’ natural beauty in its original form in the face of
suburban sprawl. The 72-acre meadow has hosted numerous celebrations over the last
three decades, from outdoor sculpture shows to string musical performances.

Connemara Members have access to the Meadow on a daily basis. The Meadow also
hosts public open houses, bird, nature and photo walks, and is used by thousands of
students annually to explore and study nature.

Individual and family memberships, ranging from $50 to $1500, are available at
connemaraconservancy.org and provide year-round access to the Meadow Preserve.
Pets and vehicles are not allowed.
