Our weekly Green Roundup will let you know about deals going on at businesses in our green business directory (check it out if you haven't already). We'll also be detailing volunteer opportunities with local non-profits. It's one more way we're hoping to support and shine a light on the work of sustainable entrpreneurs and green businesses in the DFW area. This week -

We're running our weekly green roundup one day early in honor of a couple of great events happening tomorrow night. First, the Dallas Organic Garden Club will be hosting Sheryl Burek, president of Colorful Impressions, LTD, on a talk of interest for gardeners or others interested in growing their own foods. The question? How can we approach our gardens in a way that's sustainable, livable and affordable? Green Source DFW has written a few articles recently on this topic, including Tips on Organic Gardening in the Summer Months, an article on Elizabeth Dry's Promise of Peace Garden, and some Tips on Composting. But isn't it great to hear it straight from an expert with the opportunity to mingle with like minds!? The talk starts at 6:30pm at the REI in Dallas (4515 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway  Dallas, TX 75244). More details on the DOGC Website.

Also tonight, Green Living is hosting a Happy Hour in their Dallas showroom. There'll be new products, notably the Cabinet Concierge and a brand new eco-friendly kitchen with Vetrazzo countertops, Terra Krystal subway tile & hardware by Ferguson, and more. And of course drinks, with catering provided by South Paw Organic Grill from 5-8. See our event listing for full details.
