New York Av. Blackland Prairie Park - 3rd Saturday Stewardship Saturday

Prairie restoration workday
Saturday, 3/17/12  - St. Patrick's Day!
9 a.m. - noon

Arlington Parks & Recreation staff will be on-hand with chainsaws for brush and small tree removal.  Volunteers are needed to prepare areas for cutting and to clear cut branches afterwards.  We'll take the last 1/2 hour or so to admire the early spring wildflowers….and a grand showing of the green in honor of St. Pat's Day!

Please bring gloves, hand saws, loppers, etc. and wear long pants & sturdy-soled shoes or boots.  Also, bring water, sun protection, a camera or binoculars if you'd like.  We can meet for lunch afterwards if there's interest.

PLEASE:  RSVP to prairie@arlingtonconservationcouncil.org as soon as possible, but at least by Thursday, 3/15.  It's really important that we provide enough volunteers to support APRD staff.
