Enroll your 4th-7th grader in three full days of outdoor fun March 14-16. This Spring Break, your child can go back in time to 1869, examine microscopic plant life, hike the Blackjack Trail, use natural materials to inspire a work of art, grow something wild at the Native Plant Nursery, and much more. $125. Any Fort Worth location in need of cleaning is eligible as a cleanup site for the Cowtown Cleanup. Sign up to clean a greenbelt, a park, a roadway or any area of your choosing. For groups or individuals not sure where to go, consider joining an experienced group leader at one of the 10 prearranged Join-A-Group cleanup sites.

Let us introduce you to some of the common insects and why they are important for all of us. This program is open to the public and is free with paid general admission or Heard Museum Membership. Many of these programs will have an outside component. Please dress appropriately.

Bring your family to see a live owl presentation and then stay for a guided night hike on our sanctuary trails. If you have ever been on a hike and the sun set before you finished, you know that experiencing a trail at night can be a completely different experience from hiking during the day. Explore the thrilling sights, smells and sounds of night with Heard Trail Guides. Night hikers will be encouraged to sharpen their senses to be able to spot signs of animal life and learn more about the inhabitants of the Heard. Preregistration is required and this program fills quickly. $19.

Have you noticed painted rocks throughout Mansfield? Join us at Oliver Nature Park for Rock Art and paint your own rock to hide! Each registered participant will receive two rocks to paint.   Space is limited so sign up today. $2 per person. Register required. Info: olivernaturepark@mansfieldtexas.gov.
