Spend "an evening on the ark” as National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore presents National Geographic’s The Photo Ark—a groundbreaking effort to document species before they disappear.

Sartore is a photographer, speaker, author, teacher, National Geographic fellow and regular contributor to National Geographic magazine. Most importantly, he is an avid conservationist who began the ambitious Photo Ark project 11 years ago in his hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. Since then, he’s visited more than 40 countries in his quest to create this photo archive of global biodiversity. To date, Sartore has captured more than 7,500 images of wildlife, putting him over half way toward his goal to document 12,000 unique species.

Sartore will share his exciting tales of building The Photo Ark. We'll go behind the scenes with him as he travels the globe to photograph the world's outrageous, colorful and magnificent creatures. He'll even impart his most interesting experiences from behind the lens on this journey to inspire change and persuade others to protect biodiversity before it's too late.
