Join the Fort Worth Audubon Society for some New Mexico winter birding. Tentative itinerary includes Albuquerque at Sandia Crest and other birding locations there, Magdelena Mountains, Bosque del Apache NWR for the winter geese and crane spectacle, Elephant Butte Lake, Percha Dam SP, and Leasburg Dam SP among others.

This will be a 3 1/2-4 day trip with car birding stopping to walk around, stationary observation sites and scoping at lakes, and some moderate walks. We will be at some areas with higher elevations (the Sandia Crest visitor center is 10,700 feet). There will be one VERY, VERY early morning, and some moderate drives of 2 hours to get to next birding destination.

Limited to 14-15 participants with FWAS members getting first priority
