Drive through and drop off all types of electronics, including cords,
appliances, anything related to electricty. Volunteers help unload
vehicles. Vehicles receive information on recycling and Keep Rowlett
Beautiful, as well as event handouts.

Donations are appreciated of $10-$30
for televisions (depending on size) and $7 for monitors as these items
cost more to process than the materials salvaged are worth.

Master Composter Sara Beckleman starts a compost pile with grass and
leaves, along with other items that help the contents breakdown. The
finale is showing worms used to create compost from food discards.
Attendees receive Composting handouts and each household receives a
compost bin to take home.

We request $10.00 per family to help with the KRB expenses. Please

Clean Up event – Neighborhood intersection of 740 and 741

Parking and Registration for the event will be at Johnson Elementary (701 S. Bois Darc).
Volunteers will receive gloves, vest, trash bags (until gone!) and cleanup instructions.
Appreciation Cookout after event at Hamblen Park downtown (bring lawn chairs)
Participants will receive lunch ticket when they turn in their vests at the end of the cleanup.
 
For your comfort and safety, please wear sturdy, closed toed shoes. Participants should be at
least 15 years old.
 
Release Forms will be signed prior to or during registration. Minor Participants will need an adult
signature before they can begin cleanup.

The City of Arlington Master Composter
volunteers hold composting classes the second Saturday of every month
at the composting display in the Science Center's parking lot area. The
class includes demonstrations of proper pile building, and a worm
compost bin. Attendees will receive a free book. No need to register,
just show up. Dress for the weather. For more information, call

The 2nd largest Winter Solstice event in the nation is growing! Winter SolstiCelebration has expanded to two nights after sell-out crowds for the past 3 years. Now in its 19th year, it has become a major holiday tradition for North Texas.

Interfaith event uses music, dance, theater, poetry, and even magic and circus arts, along with ritual and ceremony, to observe Winter Solstice. Casual and interactive, fun yet profound. Service starts at 7 pm, Yule Fest in lobby before and after. Bring flashlight for light ceremony and food pantry donations. Deaf signed. Childcare for $5. Presented by Earth Rhythms.
