The 13th Renewable Energy Roundup & Green Living Fair is co-organized by the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association and the Texas Center for Policy Studies.  See new ideas in action, to taste, test, explore and interact with products and services for living sustainably. Free green expo hosted by the the city of Garland, GISD, Baylor Garland and the Garland Chamber of Commerce.  Exhibitors will provide information on water and electric conservation, water pollution, recycling, safety, gardening and green alternatives.  Free health screenings, information and flu vaccinations will also be available. Photo presentation by Dan Lepinski, whose job as a solar energy design engineer let him travel extensively throughout many foreign countries. He will share photos from his extensive picture collection of renewable energy around the world. Free.

Conference to inform and educate builders/developers, engineers, planners, decision makers, architects, landscape architects and others about innovative new design elements and strategies to better integrate green infrastructure, especially trees, into economic development.  

Keynote speaker is James Urban, FASLA, a nationally recognized leader in urban design, well-known author and visiting lecturer at Harvard University Graduate School of Design will speak on designing the difficult urban environment to be 'tree-centric' and allow trees to thrive. 

Additional speakers include:  Dr. Fouad Jaber, Texas A&M; Alan Hoffmann, Alan Hoffmann Company, sustainable builder of residential and commercial properties, and Matt Grubisich, Texas Trees Foundation Urban Forester.
