Tour a stretch of the West Fork of the Trinity River to view ducks, herons, beaver and other critters. Sunscreen, water and weather appropriate clothing (including shoes that can get wet) are recommended. Canoes, paddles and lifejackets are provided. Children must be 5 years or older. Evening Stroll With a Naturalist: Come and enjoy an evening stroll on the Nature Center’s trails as we explore nature before
nightfall. Evening provides a unique opportunity to view animals that make the Nature Center home. Bring water and wear
weather appropriate clothing. Pre-registration required. $10 (includes admission fee)/MEMBERS $5.
They have a horny beak instead of teeth but they are not birds. They carry their protection on their backs but they are not snails. Come close with creatures that inhabit the Metroplex and learn of their unique characteristics and special adaptations. FREE (with paid admission).
Come have fun learning about nature and helping it out! This month we will look for pollinators, observe and learn about our honeybee hive, and make pollinator houses to take home. This activity is geared for children 3-7 and their parents. $5 per child (with paid admission)/MEMBERS FREE.
The Prairie Dog Town is a very popular place for visitors to enjoy our resident Prairie Dogs. Come and join us for a better view of our Prairie Dogs with a spotting scope. You will certainly get a different view of these burrowing masters. Come and go as you please during this time. FREE (with paid admission).
