Follow National Geographic photographer James Balog across the Arctic as he deploys time-lapse cameras to capture a multi-year record of the world's changing glaciers. Sponsored by Citizens Climate Lobby and the Dallas Sierra Club.

The Solar Car Challenge is designed to motivate students in science, engineering and alternative energy. Students learn how to design, engineer, build and race roadworthy solar cars. The 2013 event features a cross country trip from Dallas to LA beginning July 23. 

On Sunday and Monday, observe the teams as race judges perform final "scrutineering."

Identify yourself with the guard at the South Gate at the Texas Motor Speedway. The TMS entrance is off of SH 114 just west of I35W. Designated parking areas for guests will be identified in the infield area.

For EV drivers, there is one J1772 plug charging station and a 120 volt, which could support 2 or possibly 3 EVs if necessary (plan to bring your good long extension cord).

All monthly meetings are free to attend and open to the public.
