The website is updated weekly with local green news, feature articles and information on local green events along with listings of local green businesses, organizations, farmers markets and green jobs.

Green Source DFW was created by the Memnosyne Institute with the mission of advancing the environmental movement in North Texas by promoting green living, sustainable practices, nonprofit environmental organizations, eco-friendly green businesses, environmental education, scientific information, public policy discussions and socially responsible investing.

Green Source DFW hosts two major annual events – the Sustainable Leadership Awards in November, to recognize green leaders in the community, and the Run for the Environment 5K in the spring, which serves as a fundraiser.
