The Director of the Trinity River Audubon Center will be a strategic thinking entrepreneur, a leader, fundraiser and charismatic facilitator who is able to work in partnership with a number of public and private entities to create and administer an Audubon Center in Dallas, Texas. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of planning, developing, operating and managing the Center and for carrying out the mission of Audubon Texas and the National Audubon Society in Dallas and the North Texas region.

The Senior Education Manager will oversee all aspects of educational programming including program development, administration, evaluation, and management of staff. Academic programs include onsite field trips, outreach, teacher trainings, and camps. S/He will be responsible for initiating relationships with the local academic community. During the summer, s/he will manage summer field trip experiences for groups including local Park and Recreation facilities as well as the center's summer camp. S/He will ensure that programs meet the standards of educational excellence of National, State, and Center goals.

The Education Manager will design, coordinate and implement youth travel camps for the Trinity River Audubon Center (TRAC). S/He will engage high school age students in signature outdoor experiences that foster self-reliance and self-confidence through interdisciplinary learning and active exploration. S/He will deliver students with a week of unforgettable experiences filled with adventure, service, science and fun. Through experiential learning and careful mentorship, s/he will strengthen understanding of critical conservation issues and nurture a love for the great outdoors.

This internship offers exposure to the major areas of nonprofit management, including public communications, fundraising, volunteer coordination, events, and more. The ideal candidate is resourceful, communicative, and will work to uphold the positive image of KDB in the community. $10-$15/hour.
