While there are many places in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that have greened up there interiors and exteriors for a healthier environment, oftentimes pets are overlooked in those sustainable efforts.  Not at two local animal shelters though, both Cedar Hill and Plano’s animal shelters are all about a healthy environment and employees are making sure that animals have clean air and the best surroundings for healthy living.

It can be daunting starting a business on your own and many turn to networking groups for support, job leads and keeping up with industry trends.  For green business owners, starting out can be doubly challenging because they’re pioneering a new field and not always getting the encouragement it requires.

(DALLAS – September 19, 2011)     Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s GreenChill Partnership announces Sprouts Farmers Market and Whole Foods Market as the top winners in the program’s 2011 Environmental Achievement Awards.  The stores are being recognized for reducing harmful refrigerant emissions, thereby contributing to the fight against climate change and ozone-layer depletion.
