A pollinator garden is featured on the Denton County Master Gardener's Spring Garden Tour.
May 9, 2017
Spring is the time for garden tours in North Texas, when plants - and people - are still perky. Gawking at others' lavish landscaping will give you wild ideas about your own humble yard. Sure many of these tours feature old school water-hogging landscaping, but fortunately organic gardening, butterfly gardens and xeriscaping are becoming more mainstream. So think local (as in native plants) when you translate these inspirations to your own green sanctuary. Now for those outdoorsy folks up for a real hike, check out the wild and woolly Texas Prairies Bus Tour held this year in Central Texas.
