The Greater DFW Recycling Alliance and the North Texas Corporate Recycling Association are accepting nominations for the inaugural North Texas Recycling Awards until June 30.

The City of Dallas Environmental Education Initiative is accepting applications for its summer Team Waterworks program for high school students to be held June 16-20.

 

Alexandria Beck has accepted a summer internship at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine in Washington, DC, a nonprofit organization that promotes a vegan diet and alternatives to animal research.

You may have noticed the slogan lately on billboards, buses and in TV and radio ads. Friendly folks of all ages are touting that they "took the pledge to pick up 10.”

The following individuals are finalists for the Green Source DFW Sustainable Leadership Awards in the volunteer category. The results are based on votes from hundreds of Green Source DFW readers. The winners in each of the five categories will be announced at the Green Source DFW Sustainable Leadership Awards ceremony on March 13.
