The Dallas-Fort Worth green community came out to celebrate North Texas’ green entrepreneurs when Green Source DFW hosted its 2012 Best Green Business awards this week. The reception was held Thursday, Nov. 13, at The People’s Last Stand in Dallas.   About 50 people attended the event, which included drinks and hors d’oeuvres served by the Mockingbird Station bistro.  Awards were presented by Green Source DFW  Editor Phillip Shinoda

Once the election’s over, some die-hard supporters may keep a candidate’s sign as a souvenir. However, thousands end up in the trash.   

Marilyn May, director of the Environmental Co-Op, a nonprofit recycling center in Terrell, says there’s no reason for the material to be wasted.
