The Texas A&M AgriLife Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent for Tarrant County and sixth-generation Texan earned a bachelor of science in horticulture and a master of education in agricultural education from Texas A&M University. 

Karenna Gore will be speaking at Earth Day Texas on Friday, April 24, at 5 pm. Her presentation is titled: 'Integrity and Earth: Honoring Our Roots While Enhancing Progress.'

Karenna Gore is director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and the eldest daughter of former Vice President Al Gore, a longtime environmental activist. Another great Oak Cliff Earth Day was held Sunday at Lake Cliff Park in Dallas. The cloudy weather was perfect  – and cool, as were the folks we saw at the festival. Many brought along their canine companions, with some decked-out for the annual Mutt Strutt.
