This is the second in a two-part series featuring Dr. Bruce McCarl, Nobel Peace Prize-winning agricultural economist of Texas A & M University, who spoke on global climate change at Earth Day Texas April 25.  In Part 1, McCarl asserts the reality of climate change from a scientists' perspective.  

 Dr. Bruce McCarl, Agricultural Economist at Texas A & M University, is a member of the IPCC, the International Panel on Climate Change, established in 1988 by the U.N. and World Metereological Organization. The IPCC works to  “review and assess the most recent scientific, technical and socio-economic information produced worldwide relevant to the understanding of climate change.”

Another great Oak Cliff Earth Day was held Sunday at Lake Cliff Park in Dallas. The cloudy weather was perfect  – and cool, as were the folks we saw at the festival. Many brought along their canine companions, with some decked-out for the annual Mutt Strutt.
