Redenta's Garden was started in 1992 as a garden shop providing a quality shopping experience. Founder Ruth Kinler named it after her aunt who is a nun in a convent in Siena, Italy, because she wanted the shops to reflect a European influence. Ruth set out to staff the shops with fellow gardeners - people who felt passionate about plants and gardening and were equally passionate about sharing that knowledge with others. The mission of the shops is to provide a wide and unique assortment of plants, concentrating on perennials, herbs and old roses as well as a selection of hard-to-find annuals, shrubs and trees, especially native and well-adapted plants.
