Earth Rhythms success has made a place for non-mainstream spirituality in one of the most religiously and politically conservative area in the nation. It draws together a unique coalition of Buddhist, Earth-centered, humanist, mystic, New Thought, pagan, spiritual not religious, Unitarian, Unity and yogic paths, while enjoying the support of inclusive Christians, Jews and Muslims. Amy Martin serves as executive director of Earth Rhythms. She writes weekly from the spiritual-not-religious and Taoist perspective for Texas Faith blog at the Dallas Morning News daily newspaper, and sets on several interfaith panels. Regarded as the “Moonlady,” (www.moonlady.com), she operates a very popular eclectic email listserve for North Texas called Moonlady News that covers community events, spirituality, environment, holistic health, nature, metaphysic and progressive causes.
