For so many Texans, our relationship with this state’s springs, creeks, rivers and bays goes deeper than a weekend pastime; the connection to our natural water features is life-affirming and even spiritual. More than just water supply sources, these wonders are deep wells of inspiration and adventure. But as population growth explodes and our water’s future is tugged and pulled in all directions, our decision-makers forget that our rivers and bays are the soul of Texas.

Living Waters looks through the eyes of a life-long advocate for our rivers, springs, and bays to tell the story of a state standing at the crossroads of its future. By listening to our water features and the wildlife that depend on them, we can change our path to protect our water, our wildlife, our kids, our economy and all the adventures to come.

The Living Waters short film was produced by Fin & Fur for the Texas Living Waters Project, a collaboration of the National Wildlife Federation, Sierra Club and Galveston Bay Foundation.
