Meeting topic: "Overview of Customer Sentiment, Compliments, and Concerns with rooftop solar installations & systems, with emphasis on Oncor's role in the distributed generation process."  Discussion on Oncor's energy efficiency programs and incentives. Explanation and definition of the various "transmission and distribution" charges on our utility bills and more.

Presenter: Richard Sorell, P.E., Director of Consumer Affairs at Oncor

Richard obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Texas Tech University. He's been with Oncor since 1979 (known then as "Texas Power & Light Company"), where he started as an Electrical Distribution Design Engineer.

Today, he is responsible for the work group that responds to consumer complaints filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas concerning utility bills and other utility matters, as well as other escalated Consumer issues presented to Oncor through third party channels.

One of Richard's duties at Oncor is to ensure utility bills sent to retail electric providers ("REP") relating to an end-use consumer are accurate based on the meter reading and based on the rules and tariff provisions approved by the Commission.

The meeting will be followed by the annual Solar Tour Wrap Party, which honors volunteers, hosts, sponsors and guests. This is an opportunity for all the people involved to get together, meet new people and swap stories around a buffet lunch and slide presentation.
