Our speaker for the March 9 NTREG meeting will be Paula Luna with the Arlington Chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby. Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change and have established over 500 chapters across the U.S. They meet with legislators face-to-face to promote or oppose legislation that can affect climate change. They speak for the millions of us who cannot be heard by lawmakers.

Paula Luna learned about climate change from a job in the early 1990s when she began tracking emissions from rail car manufacturing plants. Since the major drought of 2011, she has been alarmed at the effects and expected results from climate change and the lack of action from the government. She joined Citizens Climate Lobby in 2015 and joined a chorus of voices, also alarmed, and has volunteered with them every since trying to bring attention to the topic and find support for their bill.

Meetings are free and open to the public.
