Organizers for Mighty Earth's #CleanItUpTyson campaign will be delivering the thousands of petitions they’ve collected in the past few months to local Tyson Foods facilities.

Here in Dallas, in less than three months, 1,400 people have signed petitions asking Tyson Foods, America's largest meat company, to reduce their pollution and protect our water. Over 55 organizations and small businesses, representing over 35,000 Texans, have also signed our coalition letter asking Tyson to do the right thing.

As the number one source of water pollution in the country, the meat industry has a crucial role to play in improving our food system, and therefore our environment, and our health.

The Dallas petition delivery event will occur simultaneously as a massive mobilization happens in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the site of Tyson's headquarters. Representatives from all seven of Mighty Earth's campaign cities (Dallas, Omaha, Kansas City, New Orleans, Chicago, Des Moines, and Fayetteville), as well as environmental and sustainable food advocates from across the country, will be coming together in the ultimate example of collective action.
