Biologist, author and cancer survivor, Dr. Sandra Steingraber writes about climate change, ecology, and the links between human health and the environment.

She is th co-author of the Compendium of Scientific, Medical, and Media Findings Demonstrating Risks and Harms of Fracking. Rolling Stone called the new edition, “the most authoritative study of its kind.”

Steingraber is the recipient of many awards including the 17th Annual Heinz Foundation Award, named Ms. Magazine’s Woman of the Year, the Rachel Carson Leadership Award

She is the author of Raising Elijah: Protecting Children in an Age of Environmental Crisis; Having Faith: An Ecologist’s Journey to Motherhood; Living Downstream: An Ecologist’s Personal Investigation of Cancer and the Environment.
