The purpose of the Trash Bash is not only to rid the community of unsightly litter, but also to create awareness that the Trinity River and its tributaries are environmental habitats which support fish, birds and other wildlife, in addition to providing flood control during the rain season.

T-shirts, gloves, safety vests and trash bags are available for all registered volunteers. Patches are available for participating scouts, while supplies last. Volunteers are encouraged to pre-register, and choose an area to clean. This year all volunteers will meet in the back parking lot of NRH2O, check in, pick up your supplies and be assigned an area to clean.

Keep NRH Beautiful encourages citizens, community groups, scouts and others to participate in this successful and worthwhile community event.

Volunteer picnic 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NRH20
