A new season of monthly star parties in association with Fort Worth Astronomical Society begins next Saturday. Stargazers, skywatchers, astronomers, kids, grownups, singles, couples, groups, all ages welcome. No dogs, please. Free.
HIGHLIGHTS this week: The moon will be a thin waxing crescent, and should be very pretty to see. Venus and Jupiter will be visible all night! Jupiter especially will be in a great viewing position. Saturn comes up close to 9:30 and will probably be a bit murky; July will definitely be the month to view Saturn. Many of the club members also point to various distant objects such as star clusters and double stars
