Bike to Work Day is an annual, nation-wide event that encourages people to try biking as a part of their commute. The Denton County Transportation Authority is joining the League of American Bicyclists and many organizations across the country in celebrating Bike to Work Day by offering free rides all day to passengers who bring their bikes on board on Friday, May 18.

DCTA Services Included in Free Ride Promotion

Passengers with bikes can ride the following DCTA services for free:

    •    A-train commuter rail

    •    Connect Bus system (Denton and Lewisville)

    •    University of North Texas (UNT) Campus Shuttles

    •    Highland Village Connect Shuttle

Free Ride Promotion Info to Keep in Mind

If a DCTA vehicle can safely accommodate a bicycle, riders will be allowed to ride DCTA free. Passengers who plan to transfer to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will need to purchase or have valid fare for that portion of their trip.
