The Master Composter class is part of a citywide program to reduce food waste, decrease dependence on synthetic fertilizers in favor of organic recycling, and empower participants to teach others about composting.
This 3-day course includes two evenings and a full day Saturday:
Thursday, Sept. 19 and Friday, Sept. 20: 6 – 9 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 21: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
$40 Fort Worth residents, $55 Non-residents
Spouses/roommates may attend the class for an additional $20, but each household will receive only one set of supplies.
Scholarships are available to Fort Worth educators who are actively teaching Fort Worth students at Fort Worth-based educational institution.
Participants will receive:
· Excellent training featuring nationally known instructor Larry Wilhelm
· Rodale Book of Composting
· C.E. Shepherd Compost Bin (if attending class all 3 days)
· Free lunch on Saturday (if attending class all 3 days)
