Ashley Carlisle is the environmental coordinator for the city of Southlake. She has worked for the city for almost three years and oversees the city of Southlake’s fats, oils, and grease program, the backflow program to protect drinking water, industrial pretreatment of wastewater, and the city’s stormwater management program. Ashley also works with several other divisions throughout to city to offer assistance for environmental-related concerns. Ashley would like to talk about everyday ways to be more environmentally-friendly at home and show residents the many free programs available for them to participate in: the W.I.S.E. Guys irrigation evaluation program, the Crud Cruiser Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off, EyeOnWater, Street Tree Program, Weekly Watering Advice, and more.

Some examples of giveaways and handouts will include: grease collection bins & bags, pet waste bags, moisture meters for plants, “Water is Awesome” water bottles, Street Tree Program order forms, EyeOnWater flyers, and W.I.S.E. Guys postcards.
