Celebrate National Bike Month in May by participating in Bike to Work Day!

Friday, May 18 is Bike to Work Day in Cowtown! Hop on your bike for one of four organized group rides into downtown or ride in from your home. Meet fellow cyclists at the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T)Intermodal Transportation Center (1001 Jones St.) from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. for The T’s celebration, offering light refreshments, exhibits and bike racks. At about 8:15 a.m., remarks by Mayor Betsy Price, an avid cyclist, other local dignitaries and the presentation of a fleet of bikes to the Fort Worth Bike Patrol by The T President Dick Ruddell will mark recognition of the role of cycling in a healthy, livable city.

The event is part of Bike! Fort Worth—the city’s comprehensive plan to promote bicycling as a safe and positive transportation alternative—and features some of the new bike lanes being added throughout the city.
