Description of Individual or organization

Tracy Wallace has over 30-years of experience working with non-profit and educational groups. A lifelong Dallas resident, Tracy is committed towards making her city a more equitable and just place. In 2016, she co-founded Good Faith Impact Fund through community-based partnerships with local organizations and advocacy groups. 

The mission has been to bring and advocate for renewable energy and solar educational resources in the South Dallas district, primarily zip-code 75215.

Leadership (Nominee demonstrates leadership through example, knowledge, attitude)

Tracy Wallace leads the non-profit board as the executive director. The role is completely voluntary, where Tracy dedicates her spare time to lead meetings, public conferences and capacity building activities. Tracy will describe her primary job as a being a full-time mother and wife. Tracy has been actively attending a community cohort through the United Way and frequently attends social justice related workshops/seminars. 

Overall, Tracy treats Good Faith Impact as her baby. Her nurturing character has led her to develop the team's initiatives from a grassroots level. This leads to a deep caring for the residents of South Dallas.

Environmental Impact (Nominee demonstrates a positive impact on the local environment via policy change, product offering, significant volunteer contribution or other achievement)

One moment that stood out was how Tracy organized a meeting between ONCUR (local utility) and members of the Fair Park Public Improvement District (PID). This meeting encouraged dialogue between the utility and those that represent making the area a more livable community. Many positive insights were brought about from the meeting of groups who would normally not be engaged.

Community Impact (Nominee demonstrates commitment to DFW green community through involvement with causes, business ventures or organizations)

Tracy has helped our team lead one successful solar community training at the Martin Luther King Center, where 15 local members of the community earned industry based certifications. Tracy helped our team earn a position in the Department of Energy's SunShot Solar in Your Community Challenge. Tracy has helped lead our team on various fundraising initiatives, including a $10,000 grant from the Solutions Project. She is helping to organize an educational hub at the MLK center this fall during the DFW Solar Homes Tour.

Tracy has been dedicated to advocacy in the Dallas-community her whole life. Recognition for her recent effort would really validate our team's cause.
