Over the years, the Youngs and Friends of Tandy Hills has focused on restoring the prairie with the annual Brush Bash. In 2010 they launched the annual Manly Men Wild Women Walk to introduce thousands more North Texans to the prairie ecosystem.

To recap, the Youngs evolved the protest movement against urban drilling, they started educational programs, a wonderful environmental festival, educational and conservation programs and preserved a beautiful piece of prairie for everyone for generations. What a wonderful legacy and a model for this region that other environmental groups can follow.
