The annual Green Source DFW Sustainable Leadership Awards honors North Texas' green businesses, professionals, organizations, nonprofits and volunteers. 

This year's honorary speaker is Lee Stetson as John Muir.

There are some items in your home (e.g. cleaners, batteries, paint) that are hazardous and should never be placed in your roll cart. After they have been used, they become Household Hazardous Waste (HHW). The most common types of HHW are Batteries, Oil, Paint and Antifreeze (BOPA). You can drop off these four types of HHW at the BOPA events.

After two wonderful years on 215 Woodrow, Brick Haus Collective will be moving on to new adventures. Help us by helping yourself to some of the excess stuff we have accumulated over the past two years! We have art materials and wood scraps, pedestals, folding chairs at least one craft table and various other odds and ends. Some stuff is free, some stuff is recycle and some stuff is for sale. Come check it out and help us lighten the load.

Fort Worth residents may bring household hazardous waste for convenient, safe disposal. Proof of residency is required (driver's license or water bill). No commercial/business waste accepted. Event may be canceled in case of rain, and may end early if Cruiser fills up. More information about the Cruiser and the Environmental Collection Center is available here

State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR) North Texas is pleased to announce the call for entries for the 2017 STAR North Texas Recycling Leadership Awards. The 2017 Award winners will be honored during an Awards Luncheon in August 2017 and the winners will be eligible to progress to the State Level STAR Awards Competition. These annual awards recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals, communities, and businesses for developing or maintaining programs involving recycling and other sustainability efforts in North Texas.
