The Recycling and Sustainability Fair is three-fold: drop off for hard-to-recycle items, education and community support. Several organizations will attend that will be taking materials for recycling or reuse. It is also an event to educate the public about what and how to recycle, air quality, stormwater quality and the effects of single-use disposable bags. The event will also support Daggett Montessori #GreenTeam and #PTA in its challenge to win $500 to $5,000 through the RecycleBank #CleanGreenFW Challenge. Attendees can also sign up for RecycleBank at the fair.

This workshop should be helpful if you are:

- Lobbying a city council person or a legislator

- Wanting to produce effective handouts and materials

- Preparing for the meeting/asking for what you want

We will also address the upcoming Texas Railroad Commission Sunset for the 2017 session:

- What is Sunset/Why should we care?

- What is now underway to prepare?

- What is being planned/what can we do now to effect change?

This month, we are following our January convo about waste in Dallas with ways you can use less and recycle the rest.

While it may not seem like a big deal, what you personally use, recycle and throw away matters. Learn not only about the impacts your trash has on the environment but how you can easily adapt to a low-waste lifestyle. It's better for you and the planet!
