Join us once again as we bring together all local vegan vendors to our regular weekly neighbor farmers market, White Rock Farmers Market.

White Rock Farmers Market will be opening an aisle at the farmers market dedicated to vegan only vendors to taste the power of plant-based. 

Disclaimer: Our regular weekly farmers market does have non-vegan products so the entire event is not vegan. We will have a vegan dedicated aisle and will highlight our regular farmers who will have an abundance of locally grown produce.

Hard to believe it's been nine years and over a hundred meetups already. Anyway, we're going to Trinity Hall to celebrate!

Trinity Hall is one of our favorite places to go, with a dedicated vegan menu for years and constantly updating draft list. They've got phenomenal ambiance, great food and a staggering amount of whiskey.

Michael Cook, the viticulture program specialist for North Texas with the Texas A&M AgriLife, will discuss “The Texas Wine Industry - from Grape to Glass. ” about how the Texas Wine Industry has evolved and what the future holds for grapes and wine in the Lone Star State. Further discussion will include the life cycle of a grapevine and the challenges associated with growing grapes in Texas.

Free garden talk

Take a walk around the BRIT campus with Dr. Grace Bascopé, BRIT resident research associate and medical and environmental anthropologist, to learn about which and how plants were used by the First Peoples of the North Central Texas area. She will also discuss archaeological research carried out right around BRIT. Dr. Bascopé will show you the First Peoples Demonstration Garden and discuss how Native Americans and others optimize water conservation in their gardens in this dry region.
