See a fleet of local air monitoring drone and watch one take flight in a demonstration of the new technology Downwinders is using to assemble our North Texas CLEAN Air Force. Meet some of our academic partners helping to build a new DFW grassroots air quality network. 

In addition, a national documentary will be filming at the event – a six-person crew from NYC making a film on the decline of coal in America, produced by Oscar and Emmy-Nominated Joe Berlinger. Show up to represent DFW environmental activists!

Commissioners will be asked to go on record as the first local North Texas government urging the EPA to reject the currently proposed state air plan for DFW and replace it with a stronger one that actually cuts pollution. 

The DFW Clean Air Network (DFW CAN) is urging folks to show up to support their actions.

DFW CAN, is a coalition that includes Downwinders at Risk, the Dallas Sierra Club and the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal campaign, Public Citizen Texas, Mansfield Gas Well Awareness, Liveable Arlington and Texas Campaign for the Environment.

The Texas Drought Project, a non-profit founded in 2008 to educate Texans on climate change, will announce that they have succeeded in obtaining the signatures of more than 220 organizations for their resolution on climate change. The resolution calls for climate negotiators at the U.N. Climate Conference in Paris, set to begin Nov. 30, to heed the recommendations from the world’s top scientists in setting emissions cuts and asks that negotiators quickly move to keep fossil fuels in the ground.
