TCE is dedicated to informing and mobilizing Texans to protect the
quality of their lives, their health, their communities and the
environment. We believe that people have a right to know and a right to
act on issues that fundamentally affect their lives and future
generations.

TCE is a non-partisan, non-profit citizens' organization that focuses on local and state issues. TCE has organized award-winning
campaigns to protect our public health in Texas. Polls consistently
show Texans support policies to protect the environment and our quality
of life; TCE works to give Texans the opportunity to channel that
support into action.

Oftentimes we face opposition from
powerful interests that would resist changes that benefit our public
health. To fight organized money, we need organized people.
Contributions of funds, time and talent provide TCE with the necessary
resources to help Texans have a voice in the policy-making process. Each
member represents an educated and concerned citizen, so please join TCE.

The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to preserve the plants, animals
and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth
by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.

Our vision is to leave a sustainable world for future generations.

Today’s society faces unprecedented challenges. Dwindling natural resources, declining economies, a rapidly changing climate and other threats require that all of us begin working together to reach common solutions.

More than ever before, we must find innovative ways to ensure that nature can continue to provide the food, clean water, energy and other services our growing population depends upon for survival.

Now
is a time of opportunity. A time to move conservation from the
sidelines of global priorities to the center of the world stage—because
human wellbeing depends on a healthy, diverse environment.

Would you like to learn more about energy conservation, energy efficiency, solar electricity, solar hot water, and related topics? You're welcome to participate in our free Yahoo conversation group (sign-up link below) and attend our meetings!

To work in a legal, ethical, and civil manner to stop urban gas drilling in the highly residential areas of North Texas. We are not against all gas drilling, but rather that which will adversely affect the public safety, the enjoyment of our homes, and our overall quality of life. We support the need for better regulation and accountability of the Oil & Gas Industry in rural and urban areas of Texas.

North Central Texas Communities Alliance (NCTCA)  is a broad-based coalition of individuals, organizations, and communities throughout the  Barnett Shale area working on local, state, and national levels for positive solutions to the problems related to natural gas drilling and pipelines. To facilitate our goals, we strive to Communicate, Educate and then to Mobilize citizens to action in North Texas and their own unique communities. It is our belief that a MORATORIUM ON ALL NEW PERMITS (for gas wells, pipelines, compresssors) is required in order to have time to sort through the maze of comp

Dallas Area Residents for Responsible Drilling (DARRD) formed in 2010 to address concerns over gas drilling in Dallas. We are not opposed to gas drilling, but we favor responsible drilling practices (per Drill Right Texas) and City of Dallas transparency due to the urban/community-oriented setting of these sites and methods.

Public Citizen Texas is an office of progressive advocates who research and recommend policy that will lower electric bills, increase clean and renewable sources of energy, and combat greenhouse gas emissions which are responsible for global climate change.  We have professionals working to encourage city and state incentives for energy efficiency (the only negative-cost energy source), to create incentives and mandates for more renewable energy, and to stop newly proposed coal and nuclear plants which pose major health and environmental risks and are likely to cost consumers more than cleaner greener alternatives.
