Downwinders at Risk: Shingle Mt Relocation Action - Dallas

Oct 12 2020 - 12:00pm
Dallas City Hall
1500 Marilla
Dallas , TX

At noon on Monday, Oct. 12, supporters of Choate Street families in Southern Dallas being poisoned daily by 100,000 tons of illegal hazardous waste in their backyards will begin doing something the City of Dallas has refused to do - actually begin removing the waste from Shingle Mountain. Since the City of Dallas created this monstrosity through its racist neglect, we're relocating the waste to its rightful owners at City Hall Plaza....Yes, the City has begun an official bidding process for removal but officials have said it could still be after Xmas before a clean-up is begun. After a cruel three years of waiting already, that's unacceptable. The City must SET A DATE! Spectators and supporters are welcome but if you want to participate as a "Relocator," you must get the training this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Goodwork, 1808 S. Good-Latimer, Dallas. Be a part of Dallas history. Help us Move the Mountain NOW.
