North Texas Renewable Energy Group: All the Solar That's Fit to Print: Perovskite Photovoltaic - Zoom

Jun 13 2020 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Zoom TX

This event will be held virtually via Zoom.

Presenter: Timothy Siegler, Ph.D., Post Doctoral Researcher, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, University of Washington

About our Presenter: Tim Siegler is a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Dr. Hugh Hillhouse in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington. He has nine years of experience working on experimental solution processed photovoltaics, authoring eleven papers on hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite humidity degradation, tandem photovoltaics, and solar-relevant nanomaterials synthesis and device architecture. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019, working for Dr. Brian A Korgel in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering. He has also worked in quantum dot PV materials development with Dr. Prashant Kamat at the University of Notre Dame and Dr. Thomas Bein at the University of Munich. His current research interests involve using machine learning to accurately predict degradation lifetimes of compositionally diverse perovskite material systems and devices.
