City of Arlington: Leaf Recycling (Thru Feb. 21) - Arlington

Four Collection Drop-Off Sites (See above) Arlington , TX

Beginning November 21, 2019 through February 21, 2020 Arlington residents may bring bagged leaves to one of four collection sites for free leaf recycling.

    •    Arlington Landfill - 800 Mosier Valley Rd.

    •    U.T.A. baseball parking lot on Mitchell Street east of Fielder Rd. - No contractors

    •    Bowman Springs Park - 7003 Poly Webb Rd. - No contractors

    •    S.J. Stovall Park - 2800 W. Sublett Rd. - No contractors

In an effort to improve the environment and our community, this service is provided by the City of Arlington for Arlington residents only.

Please

    •    NO Contractors

    •    NO Trash or Tree Limbs

    •    NO Illegal Dumping

During the dates listed above, contractors may bring leaves to the Arlington Landfill free of charge. For information call 817-354-2300. Contractors are not allowed to drop off leaves at the other sites.

Liveable Arlington: Portable Air Monitor Training - Arlington

Join Liveable Arlington for an Air Monitor Training workshop conducted by Downwinders at Risk. Learn about local air quality and how to operate  user friendly portable air monitors. Once trained, you will have the option to check out the equipment for personal projects or to assist on already functioning clean air campaigns. Instruction will be on Areoqual (monitoring particulate matter 2.5 and 10) portable air monitors that are extremely accurate and also extremely easy to use. No prior experience necessary. No technical background required. 

The event is free and open to the public but you must register here to attend.

Ray Roberts Lake State Park: Wildlife Detectives - Pilot Point

Join a park ranger for an easy hike along our 0.5 mile Lost Pines Trail to look for critter clues and what they might mean.

This program is weather dependent. Park programs are open and free to the public with park entrance fee ($7 per adult ages 13 and up; children 12 and under always get in free). No need to register, just show up. Programs subject to changes and/or cancellations. Call the park for the most up to date information.
