Grease clogs your pipes and can even cause sewer backups. Protect your home, city and environment by recycling it during this collection event.

Follow the signs on Wisteria Street and drop off your used cooking oil at the collection station outside the gate by the dumpster.

Oil will be accepted 24 hours, Nov. 6, 2018 through Jan. 7, 2019.

The Harold Simmons Park design team will share their ideas, after the recently completed public input and answer questions on the topics of flooding, native ecology and access for the 200 acres between the Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge and Margaret McDermott Bridge. Featuring a visual of more than 60 feet in length, you will see the potential of the river area up close.

Enjoy custom made cocktails while listening to experts explain how electric buses can save profits, people and the planet. Meet Dale Hill, co-founder of Proterra, the largest electric bus manufacturer in the US. Chow down on a pop-up meal from culinary superstar, Chef Graham Dodds. Drink new voltage-charged cocktails from the Green Door, Harwood Tavern, and our own Live Wire Lounge.

We'll be using DART's downtown DLink loop, powered exclusively with Proterra electric buses to make the rounds. A ticket gets you three drinks, a meal and all the reasons why full electrification of local bus fleets will be great for public transit and the environment.

The ride begins and ends at the Green Door Public House in the Farmer's Market.
