Learn the fundamentals of navigating your way in the wilderness in this fun and comprehensive two-night class. Subjects covered include looking for and purchasing different type maps, how to read maps, how not to get lost, map use if you do get lost, different kinds of compasses, what to buy and how to use your compass. This two-night class is 6:30-8:45pm each night. We encourage online signups by Tuesday before the class. Or you can pay with cash or check at the door. A half-day hike the following Sunday with class instructors will be offered to class participants who want to practice their new skills.
