Dallas , TX

Earth X is bigger than ever this year and is seeking volunteers to help out at the giant eco-expo April 20-22 at Fair Park in Dallas. This is a great opportunity to gain experience, network and be part of the world's largest eco-fest.

Earth X volunteer manager Melinda Garde said there are more than 30 different opportunities available for volunteers.

"Volunteers are the face of EarthX. As a volunteer, you are an integral part of the process of changing the way people think, work and live," said Garde. "Volunteers will engage attendees with fun hands-on activities that teach how to make a difference through science, technology and innovations in thought leading to a sustainable future."

Volunteers get a T-shirt and snacks. There are two shifts: 9 a.m. -2 p.m., 1 p.m.-6 p.m.

Native Prairies Association of Texas, Fort Worth Chapter: Stella Rowan Hike - Fort Worth

Apr 11 2018 - 5:45pm
Stella Rowan Prairie pavilion Ft Worth , TX

Guided wildflower walk at Stella Rowan Prairie, located on the grounds of Tarrant County Resource Connection. We will gather at 5:45 pm to sign Liability Release Forms, and begin the walk at 6 pm, concluding about 15 minutes before dusk. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing: long pants, closed toe shoes, etc.  Please bring your own water bottle. Watch Facebook and the website for details on where to park and meet everyone. Absolutely NO parking on the side of the road (i.e., not in a designated parking lot), as this really is a pet peeve of the property managers and doing so could get us uninvited to use the prairie for future group visits.
