Are you working on starting a community garden? Always wondered what it takes to get started Involved with a garden that would benefit from a little extra help? This workshop is for you!

Who should attend:

•Anyone in leadership in a community garden setting

•Anyone thinking about or working with others to start a community garden

$25/person. $15/for additional person from same garden. Limited scholarships available.

Three sessions: 

1. Feb. 8, 6-9 p.m.

2. Feb. 9, 6-9 p.m.

3. Feb. 10, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Learn, Grow, Eat & Go! grows good kids through an interdisciplinary program combining academic achievement, gardening, nutrient-dense food experiences, physical activity, and school & family engagement. Looking to get more out of an existing garden on your campus or perhaps ways that you could get one approved for your site? This customizable curriculum developed by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension as part of the International Junior Master Gardener program is the perfect professional development opportunity!

In this workshop, our highly trained staff educators engage participants in curriculum lessons throughout the Arboretum. Participants receive a complete set of Learn, Grow, Eat & Go! resources and hands-on instruction. Participants can implement the curriculum in their classroom immediately.
