Listen to Lance Tahmahkera talk about Cynthia Ann and Quanah Parker, Comanche traditions, life, and stories. He will bring varies items (buckskin dress, regalia/beadwork, bow/arrows, photos etc.) that will be talked about and passed around.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Lance Tahmahkera is a great-great grandson of Comanche Chief, Quanah Parker.

American Indians used trees not only to mark a trail, but also to signal the presence of important features, some of which were critical for survival. Indian marker trees are living witnesses and a significant part of this nation’s cultural heritage. Volunteers for the Texas Historic Tree Coalition are working hard to find, research, verify, recognize and celebrate these priceless cultural treasures.
